So a little over 3 years ago I did the Naseby12 Hour solo and I vowed I’d do it again, but I’d do it when I was fitter and with better preparation.

Fast forward to just two weeks ago and following some gentle encouragement from some friends, some rapid-fire sorting of logistics, and a couple of rides on the mountain bike to try and convince myself that I was capable of riding offroad for 12 hours without injuring myself, I’m now doing the Naseby 12 Hour mountain bike race again, without being anywhere near fit enough, and not really being prepared enough in some ways either.

I have an amazing support crew for the race who have stepped up with literally two weeks notice and I literally wouldn’t be doing this without them. They will be there to help me out in all sorts of ways, especially making sure I have my Diabetes under control. If I can get things sorted I may even have my support crew posting to my Instagram Page which will end up on this blog over on the Instagram feed page and on the Facebook page too!

Start time is 9am tomorrow. I’d better go make sure I have everything packed!
